An Embodied Exploration of Anger, Expression & Release for Women, Non-Binary & Queer Folx
What if your anger wasn’t something you needed to fear, suppress or fix? For so many of us, anger has been something we’ve learned to swallow, intellectualize, turn inward or disconnect from entirely.
Maybe we were taught that anger made us too much, difficult, aggressive or unlovable. Maybe expressing it didn’t feel safe, so we learned to keep the peace instead. But anger can also carry important information about our needs, boundaries, protection and the places where something hasn’t felt okay.
Join us for an intentional afternoon exploring our relationship with anger.
Somatic practices. Movement. Vocal Expression. Sound.
Together, we’ll create opportunities to get curious about how anger shows up in the body, how we relate to its energy and what becomes available when we give ourselves permission to express rather than continually express.
This is an exploration guided by two trauma-informed practitioners who are not just holding the space for you, but with you. Sharing anger, grief, despair, outrage and indignation for the relentless suppression and oppression of women and minority groups that we are witnessing.
This is not about forcing a breakthrough, manufacturing a release or becoming the loudest person in the room.
It’s about building a different relationship with your own emotional experience. There will be opportunities to move, make noise, explore your “no”, rest, receive and choose what feels supportive for YOU.
There are zero expectations for how you are to be present in this space. You can choose in to every piece of the process, to be selective, to modify your experience or to pause your participation at any time.
Come exactly as you are. With your anger, your curiousity, your tenderness, your uncertainty or whatever else might be present. Your body. Your pace. Your choice.
